The Global Alliance of Pet Food Associations (GAPFA) extends its warmest congratulations to Dr. Emmanuelle Soubeyran on her election as the new Director General of the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH).
GAPFA was honoured to participate at the General Session of WOAH held in Paris, 26 to 30 May, where this new appointment was announced. We would like to thank Dr. Monique Eloit, former WOAH Director General, for her leadership and commitment to enhancing global cooperation to combat animal diseases and implementing innovative, data-driven programmes over the past 8 years.
GAPFA looks forward to continuing the mutual consultation and cooperation on international standards and recommendations relevant to pets and pet food, as part of the WOAH Memorandum of Understanding with GAPFA, and reaffirms its commitment to supporting WOAH’s mission to improve animal health globally.
