ePac UK gears up for grand opening

The first site in the UK and in Europe, ePac UK Silverstone is ramping up production ahead of the official opening in early December.

Leading flexible packaging specialist ePac UK is proud to announce the Grand Opening of its new Silverstone site. The digital-only company is getting ready to celebrate with customers and other guests on 4 December 2019 at its brand-new production facility at Arrow Park in Brackley, Northamptonshire.

With the first orders already rolling off the production line, ePac UK Silverstone will be welcoming 200 guests for the official opening ceremony and tour of the 24,200 sq ft site, where multiple HP Indigo 20000 digital presses and class-leading pouch-making equipment will serve the local market with custom-printed packaging.

“We are delivering on our promise to disrupt the market by ramping up to full production at Silverstone at an incredibly fast pace,” says John Peat, Managing Director and Managing Partner, ePac UK. “After a lot of hard work, we are ready to show the UK market how digitally printed flexible packaging from ePac is changing perceptions on a global scale. This is an exciting time for the whole team, and we are looking forward to welcoming our guests on 4 December.”

The company has also announced the appointment of Emma Winton, who is joining as Regional Sales Manager – North for ePac UK. During the last 15 years working in various sales and marketing roles, Emma has helped FMCG brands bring products to market and scale up their offering. It was her recent position as Business Development Executive at a packaging print company that gave her the inside knowledge of digital technology, and in particular, the HP Indigo 20000 digital press.

“I’m thrilled to have joined such a dynamic, fast-paced business, which is already expanding rapidly,” says Emma. “ePac’s mission is very simple – to provide high-quality flexible packaging with exceptional service at an industry-best time to market. One of my greatest joys is to help start-up brands leverage the possibilities of digital and take the leap from kitchen counter to full-scale production. I look forward to building the future with the ePac team and making some noise in the industry.”

Nick Monk, Sales Director UK & Ireland and Managing Partner of ePac UK Silverstone, comments, “I’m extremely pleased to welcome Emma to the team at this crucial time in the ePac UK journey. Her experience in digitally printed flexible packaging and knowledge of the market will be instrumental in driving us forward. Our digital-only concept is attracting the right talent, and we will continue to expand and take on more trailblazers like Emma.”

The official opening of the first UK site comes as ePac Flexible Packaging continues its rapid acceleration globally with a record-breaking $100 million investment in printing technology, services and supplies. This latest expansion will double production capacity over the next year by taking the total number of HP Indigo digital presses from 28 in 12 locations to 52 in 20 locations.

Johnny Hobeika, Managing Director, ePac Holdings Europe, adds, “We’re at a turning point in the history of flexible packaging and there is no going back. Delivering high quality products in 10–15 days is fast becoming the norm, and brands are waking up to the fact that they can have what they want, when they want it and change their designs at short notice. ePac offers a simple and effective business model that is challenging the status quo and it is a great time to be involved.”
